Our Mission
Chipmunk Collective creates accessible opportunities for children and families to learn, create, and connect through the arts, science, and creative education.
What We Believe
Curiosity leads to discovery.
Creativity turns ideas into possibilities.
Practice builds skill and confidence.
Every child can find their own way to shine.
The arts and sciences invite us to explore, create, and understand.
Our Story
Chipmunk Collective began with a simple idea: we love ballet, and we wanted to share that love with children in our community.
We started wherever we could find a little space to dance — gathering at the Nashua Public Library, practicing on the outdoor stage at Greeley Park, and meeting at the Greater Nashua YMCA. Each class brought new faces, new friendships, and another reason to keep going.
In early 2026, the Gloria Timmons Community Center (formerly Arlington Street Community Center) opened its doors to our free ballet program for children. What began as a weekly class grew into school-break workshops, summer classes, and, on June 15, 2026, our first recital at Court Street Theater in Nashua.
The recital was a special celebration of everything our young dancers had accomplished — and included a little theater magic, too, with a performance of Kolobok, a beloved Russian folk tale about a mischievous little round bun who runs away on an adventure.
We're excited to see where this little collective can grow. Have an idea for something children in our community might love to learn, create, or explore? Come share it with us. Whether you have an idea, a skill, some time to volunteer, or simply a little enthusiasm, we'd love to have you along for the adventure.
